Every phone photo carries the exact GPS coordinates of where it was taken, the date and time, your device model and dozens more fields embedded inside. Share the photo, and you share all of it. This tool rewrites the file discarding the metadata (EXIF, XMP, IPTC, comments) and keeps only the image.
Unlike most online cleaners, JPEG and PNG files are cleaned without recompression: pixel data is copied byte for byte, so quality is exactly the original’s. And since processing is local, the photo with your data never leaves your machine.

Frequently asked questions
Exactly which metadata is removed?
In JPEG: the EXIF segments (GPS location included), XMP, IPTC/Photoshop and comments. In PNG: text, time and EXIF chunks. The ICC color profile is kept so colors don’t shift.
Does cleaning reduce photo quality?
Not for JPEG and PNG: the compressed image is copied intact and only metadata blocks are discarded. The one exception is a JPEG stored rotated via EXIF, which is re-encoded at 92% quality so it doesn’t end up sideways.
Why should I strip metadata before sharing?
Because a photo taken at home carries your home’s coordinates. Marketplaces, forums and some messengers don’t always strip them, and anyone can read them in two clicks.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens inside your browser using the Canvas API: your files never leave your device, there are no upload queues, and the tool even works offline once the page has loaded.
