Frequently asked questions
Can pixelation be reversed?
The downloaded file keeps no original information for the pixelated areas: pixels are replaced destructively. At a reasonable strength, the information is unrecoverable.
What strength should I use for text?
For text (plates, documents), use strength 5 or more: blocks must be clearly larger than the letter strokes. Zoom in to verify before sharing.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens inside your browser using the Canvas API: your files never leave your device, there are no upload queues, and the tool even works offline once the page has loaded.
