100% local processing: no image is ever uploaded to any server.

WebP is JPEG’s natural successor for the web: at the same visual quality it takes up 25–35% less space. If you run a store, blog or portfolio with hundreds of photos, that saving translates directly into faster pages and better SEO.

Drag your photos in, tune the quality (85% is an excellent starting point) and download everything as a ZIP. EXIF orientation is respected, so phone photos won’t come out rotated.

How it works

Drop your JPG photos into the upload zone.

  2. 2

WebP is preselected; adjust quality if needed.

  3. 3

Download the converted photos or the full ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

How much do I save converting JPG to WebP?

At equal visual quality, 25–35%. The exact percentage for each file is shown on its result card before you download.

Do I lose quality in the conversion?

You decide: the slider goes from 10% to 100%. At 85% the result is visually identical to the original for the vast majority of photos.

Will phone photos come out rotated?

No: the tool reads the original’s EXIF orientation and applies it before converting, so the final WebP looks exactly like the original photo.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens inside your browser using the Canvas API: your files never leave your device, there are no upload queues, and the tool even works offline once the page has loaded.
