Crop images online

Select the area with your mouse — freely or with a fixed ratio — and download the exact crop. Your image never leaves your device.

Choose an image or drop it here

JPG · PNG · WebP · GIF · BMP — or paste with Ctrl+V

100% local processing: no image is ever uploaded to any server.

Drag over the image to create the selection, move it or resize it from the corners, and download the crop in one click. The overlaid rule of thirds helps you frame, and the exact pixel size is displayed at all times.

Fixed ratios do the precision work for you: 1:1 for profile pictures and Instagram posts, 16:9 for YouTube thumbnails and headers, 9:16 for stories and TikTok, or 4:3 and 3:2 for classic photography.

How it works

  1. 1

Drop the image and adjust the selection by dragging or from the corners.

  2. 2

Lock a ratio (1:1, 16:9…) if you need an exact format.

  3. 3

Pick the output format and download the crop.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping lose quality?

No: the selected pixels are copied exactly from the original, with no rescaling. PNG output is lossless; JPEG and WebP are encoded at 92% quality.

Which ratio should I use for each social network?

Instagram: 1:1 (posts) and 9:16 (stories and reels). YouTube: 16:9 for thumbnails. X/Twitter: 16:9. For profile pictures, always 1:1.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens inside your browser using the Canvas API: your files never leave your device, there are no upload queues, and the tool even works offline once the page has loaded.
