Compress images online

Shrink your photos by tuning quality or setting an exact KB target. Batch processing, and nothing ever leaves your device.

Choose your images or drop them here

JPG · PNG · WebP · GIF · BMP — or paste with Ctrl+V

100% local processing: no image is ever uploaded to any server.

Drop one or many images and pick how to compress: with the quality slider (WebP at 75% removes over 70% of the weight with no visible difference) or with target size mode, which tunes quality automatically until each file fits the KB limit you need — perfect for upload forms with size caps.

Compressing images is the highest-leverage optimization for any website: it improves your Core Web Vitals LCP, saves your visitors’ data, and helps you rank better on Google.

How it works

  1. 1

Drop your images (or paste them with Ctrl+V).

  2. 2

Pick a mode: manual quality or a KB target.

  3. 3

Download each file, or everything as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens inside your browser using the Canvas API: your files never leave your device, there are no upload queues, and the tool even works offline once the page has loaded.

How much smaller can my images get?

It depends on the original: unoptimized photos and PNG screenshots typically shrink 60–90% when re-encoded as WebP or JPEG at 70–80% quality. If a result ever comes out larger, the card flags it in red.

How does target size mode work?

It makes every image fit an exact limit (100 KB, 50 KB…): the tool searches for the highest quality that respects the target and, if even minimum quality is not enough, it scales dimensions down automatically.

WebP or JPEG — which should I pick?

WebP compresses 25–35% better than JPEG at the same quality and works in every modern browser. Pick JPEG when the file is going to a form or program that only accepts .jpg.
